One of the primary duties of an administrator is to ensure that the organization operates with efficiency. This requires a set of skills that can handle the many different people and situations within the organization. Specific skills essential to an effective administrator include good communication and being organized.
Identifying and planning procurement activities; proposing procurement plan for their projects; approval of procurement requests, within the limits of approved budgets; proposing amendments to existing contracts, if necessary assisting in technical negotiations.
Water Resource specialist
Water resources engineers design the infrastructure that provides drinking water to homes and businesses. They also ensure that systems properly deal with and dispose of wastewater. Some water resources engineers examine the drainage of storm water and floodplains and propose ways to control erosion, stabilize river banks, and minimize damage to bridges and buildings. They often need to be in the field for this work, surveying sites or assisting with the sampling and testing of water.
Public health specialist
Provide and manage health education programs that help individuals, families, and their communities maximize and maintain healthy lifestyles. Collect and analyze data to identify community needs prior to planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating programs designed to encourage healthy lifestyles, policies, and environments. May serve as a resource to assist individuals, other healthcare workers, or the community, and may administer fiscal resources for health education programs.
